JOURNALIST & FILMMAKER

I’m a journalist who directs documentaries. I directed Vigilante, Inc., a documentary feature streaming on Tubi; The Shockwave, a film about the Beirut explosion that won two News & Documentary Emmy Awards and a duPont-Columbia Award in 2022; and Unadopted, a documentary about teens in foster care that was honored with a National Edward R. Murrow Award in 2021.

As both a director and producer, I develop, pitch and report my own stories; conduct interviews; lead shoots; and oversee edits, including writing scripts and voiceover. I was a producer across three seasons of VICE’s Emmy Award-winning weekly documentary series on Showtime, and have produced other long-form work, like Red, White & Who, a one-hour prime-time special about health care that premiered on MSNBC.

To direct and produce 10 episodes of the investigative series Cyberwar, I spent two years filming around the world, including in Russia, Ukraine, the U.K. and Germany. The show aired on VICELAND, streamed on Hulu and is available on Amazon.

Before that, I helped build AJ+, Al Jazeera’s successful digital news channel.

New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Bangkok have all been home.
